Apparo’s CEO, Kim Lanphear, spoke on QC Life about three upcoming tech awards that Apparo is kicking off.
The first, Apparo’s Mission Possible: The Economic Opportunity Award Program, is for nonprofits and kicks off in September. Sponsored by Accenture, the grand prize includes $10,000 US cash and $50,000 worth of Accenture Consulting for the winning nonprofit to bring their dream tech project to life. Additionally, all applicants leave the program with:
- Up to 15 hours of pro bono business strategy support from your personal Accenture consultant
- A polished proposal which you can submit to any other funding sources of your choosing
- The beginning of a partnership with Apparo … many participants go on to receive our pro bono support.
In this segment, QC Life also interviews Beyonka Fulton, Fundraising Director at A Better World – last year’s Mission Possible winner – about their experience as the winner. Beyonka discusses how they did not realize it at the time, but their project is helping them excel amidst social distancing and the pandemic.
The second and third awards are Apparo’s TechExec and TechEntrepreneur Community Impact Awards, given to outstanding philanthropic technology leaders in the greater Charlotte area. We are accepting nominations through August 11. Nominees will be notified to fill out a more detailed application.
The TechEntrepreneur Community Impact Award is presented by Charlotte Inno.
