Apparo Announces Third G.A.I.N. Cohort with 6 Charlotte Nonprofits- Powered by Lowe’s
(CHARLOTTE, NC) —
On Thursday, November 9th, 2023, Apparo announced the six nonprofits that were selected to participate in the third cohort of Apparo’s G.A.I.N. Program. Apparo’s G.A.I.N. (Growth, Agility, and Innovation for Nonprofits) Program provides nonprofit participants with the tools, training, and other support they need to implement and sustain their technology and process improvements. G.A.I.N. delivers a one-year journey of technology and process improvement to a cohort of nonprofits to help them overcome their technology challenges and simultaneously amplify their nonprofit impact. The G.A.I.N. program is generously sponsored by Lowe’s.
On Thursday, leaders from participating nonprofits and their corporate mentors gathered at the Apparo office for introductions, and to discuss the journey ahead, including an overview of program workstreams and timelines.
Apparo is thrilled to welcome the following nonprofits to their one-year G.A.I.N journey: Charlotte ToolBank, Greater Matthews Habitat for Humanity, Compassion to Act, Urban League of Central Carolinas, Ada Jenkins Center, and Shining Hope Farms.
The following mentors will be supporting organizations in this cohort: Josh Glassberg- Duke Energy, Ross Feldman- CCP Tech, Debbie Shannon, Bill Hammelman- CCP Tech, Brad Richmond- Duke Energy, and Matthew Galimi- Divergent IT.
Prior to Thursday’s orientation, nonprofit leaders participating in the third cohort gathered with the second cohort and their mentors at the Lowe’s Tech Hub, where the community celebrated the graduation of the second cohort and introduced the rising cohort participants.
