Steve Ermish is the CTO at Opkalla Inc, an Information Technology Advisory Services firm helping companies make smarter technology decisions by providing unbiased insights into emerging and innovative technologies that best align to business goals.  As the former CIO of Cardinal Innovations Healthcare, Steve was responsible for overseeing the technology delivery, enterprise data and analytics, and enterprise project management teams.

Steve was recognized as a two-time CIO of the year award winner in the enterprise and private sector categories, and one of Charlotte’s “40 under 40” professionals who have characterized excellence, innovation and leadership within their corporations and communities.  He exemplifies a new breed of technology leader, who for the last 20 years, has achieved transformational change in the manufacturing, retail & distribution, marketing, and healthcare industries at companies ranging in size from startup to Fortune 500.  Holding both a Six Sigma Black Belt and PMP, Steve gained significant M&A experience as a key leader in 6 mergers at Chiquita Brands.

Steve and his family relocated from Texas to North Carolina in 2012 with Chiquita, and have since put down roots in Concord. Ermish volunteers with Social Venture Partners, Samaritan’s Purse and CFA Church.
