Rewriting the Code is seeking a skilled volunteer team to assess their overall business processes for their programming.
Rewriting the Code is a non-profit organization that supports and empowers college, graduate, and early-career women in tech through intersectional communities, mentorship, industry experience, and educational resources to become the next generation of engineers and tech leaders. The organization provides a peer-to-peer network of women in tech, offering support, mentorship, and education that helps pave the way for sustainable careers, professional advancement, and equal opportunities. With a community of over 17,000 college and early-career women in tech, Rewriting the Code is committed to encouraging, supporting, and retaining women in computer science.
As Rewriting the Code continues to identify more opportunities for growth, the organization would like to ensure they are maximizing people, processes, and technology. Rewriting the Code is seeking to work with a skilled volunteer team to document current processes and technology across their organization. The project will review current state processes to identify gaps, pain points, risks, and inefficiencies. Based on these findings, the volunteer team will provide a prioritized 2–3-year roadmap of recommendations that will improve operating efficiencies at Rewriting the Code and allow the organization to amplify their mission.
Key Project Steps:
- Documentation of current state processes and identification of the role of people, process, and technology within each. The documentation will include the identification of risks, pain points and inefficiencies.
- Prioritized process and technology recommendations. Identification of quick wins (simple changes that will result in significant improvement) as well as longer-term recommendations.
- Recommended timeline and cost for implementation of each recommendation
