Volunteers with design-thinking expertise support Families Forward Charlotte in enhancing their nonprofit website
Families Forward Charlotte is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty that makes upward mobility too difficult for many families in our community. Families Forward Charlotte aims to help local families take the necessary steps toward long-term financial stability. First, they help families overcome whatever circumstances are holding them back, be it a sudden job loss, a need for affordable housing, or dependable child care. They then empower families with educational programs, life skills, and individualized mentoring that all serve as building blocks for a successful and self-sustaining future.
Families Forward recently participated in an Apparo Website UX Evaluation. Following this work, and after recently completing a website redesign, the organization would like to work with volunteers to enhance their website and marketing efforts. Through this Community Impact Project, Families Forward seeks to refine their web and marketing presence to better serve their clients, donors, and volunteers. By grounding the enhancement project in design thinking, skilled volunteers, including those from Bank of America, will provide recommendations for improvements based on the perspective of key stakeholders.
