An EnergyUnited skilled volunteer is providing nonprofit technology training to PFLAG Charlotte, so that they can work more efficiently towards fulfilling their mission.
PFLAG Charlotte‘s mission is to support families, allies and people who are LGBTQ+, to educate ourselves and others about issues important to LGBTQ+ communities, and to advocate in our communities for a more equitable future for all. Their leadership reached out to Apparo for support with nonprofit technology training, wanting to work more efficiently with Microsoft 365 tools: Planner, Teams and Calendar. Apparo assessed their needs and matched them to a skilled volunteer from EnergyUnited, Rob Cambra, to provide this virtual training for their staff. Nonprofit participants are Karen Graci (Executive Director) and Lisa Dudzik (Community Engagement Manager).
This training will compliment work that PFLAG Charlotte recently completed through Apparo’s Tech Therapy and Education programs to begin their transition to Microsoft 365. After completing those phases of their work with Apparo, Karen Graci shared, “This support is so important as we continue to grow strategically to serve our community’s needs. Because we are working so much more efficiently now, we’ve been able to triple the number of corporate education programs we offered in June of this year, compared to last year. PFLAG Charlotte strengthens families, empowers LGBTQ+ allies, and elevates LGBTQ+ voices through peer support, education, and advocacy. Being more confident and comfortable with our technology platform has been integral to enabling us to meet the significant increase in demand for peer support services and LGBTQ+ allyship educational programming in the workplace, schools, healthcare spaces, and faith communities.”
