Jabian Consulting skilled volunteers delivered a business process assessment to Dorcas Ministries to support their organizational growth. Upon implementation of the recommendations, Dorcas Ministries anticipates an increase in operating efficiencies allowing staff more time to focus on assisting more people in financial crisis.
Dorcas Ministries provides compassionate assistance to area residents to empower people to become stable and self-sufficient. They have been meeting the needs of neighbors in financial crisis for 52 years. Fueled by a team of over 500 volunteers, their main services are financial assistance, a food pantry, career coaching and mobile medical clinics.
Recently, Dorcas Ministries has experienced substantial growth. They were utilizing a combination of paper-based and various computer programs to manage data and recognized the need for more efficient processes. Skilled volunteers from Jabian Consulting came together with Apparo to identify ways they can streamline current processes by leveraging technology. After implementing the recommendations provided, Dorcas Ministries anticipates staff will save significant time, allowing them to focus on their mission. Additional impacts anticipated as a result of this project include:
- Staff awareness of roles and responsibilities allowing employees to spend more time on their core duties and potentially increasing retention rates
- Time saved will allow Marketing and Development resources to have more time to focus on their roles, potentially increasing revenue through fundraising.
- Empowerment of staff and improved culture that encourages staff to provide deeper services including implementing new avenues of assistance
This project is generously sponsored by Elevation Church Foundation.
