Nonprofit technology plan delivers sustained positive impact, driving stronger community through the power of arts
In 2022, Apparo and skilled volunteers from Deloitte supported Cain Center for the Arts in development of a nonprofit technology plan to support their journey to a new facility. Read about that Community Impact Project and Tech Therapy work here.
One year after their new center opened, we checked in with Justin Dionne, Executive Director, to learn about the sustained impact of our work together.
He shares, “The transition to Microsoft 365 was absolutely the right move for our team. We have doubled in staff size and are still growing.” Benefits include:
- Ease of Teams conference improves internal communication
- Ease of file sharing locating helps save time
- Both of above help smooth onboarding of new staff
Importantly, these nonprofit technology improvements have supported their ability to launch a wealth of new arts programming in their new space, increasing access to the arts for many.
For example, while once they could only accommodate a few small shows, in 2023, they put on:
- 50+ performance of audiences of 15,000
- 8 gallery exhibits
They also launched a new affordable ticket program and expanded their relationships with schools, bussing in students to see shows. Additionally, they have also grown their classes, summer camps, community Impact programming, community partnerships and artist relationships – all helping drive towards their mission of strengthening community through the power of arts.
