Volunteers support The Drake House in assessing their current business processes to amplify their ability to support families in Georgia
The Drake House is a 501(c)3 organization that works to respond to the growing number of single mothers and their children who are experiencing homelessness in North Fulton, Georgia. They involve members of their community in the effort to keep families united under one roof as they work toward self-sufficiency. The organization is the only agency in the region offering a private crisis-housing program.
The Drake House reached out to Apparo as they would like assistance decreasing manual processes and streamlining the number of platforms they currently use. As The Drake House continues to identify more opportunities for growth, the organization would like to ensure they are maximizing people, processes, and technology within their area of focus participant intake, volunteers, and donor management.
Apparo paired the organization with a team of LexisNexis skilled volunteers who will document current participant intake, volunteers, and donor management processes. Based on these findings, the volunteer team will provide a prioritized 2–3-year roadmap of recommendations that will improve participant intake, volunteers, and donor management operating efficiencies. This Business Process Assessment Community Impact Project with support The Drake House in reducing the amount of hard copies used and allow the organization to amplify their nonprofit mission.
