S&S Services was started with a goal to provide amazing services to businesses and organizations that desperately needed more communication. Started in October 2021 by Samantha Simmons as a one woman operation, S&S Services has grown to a team of 6 active bookkeeping professionals, 1 administrative assistant, and more in training.
At the beginning of 2022 Samantha had a lunch to hear about a CRM dedicated to providing a much needed updated CRM tool to non-profits. Upon meeting Sal from Dot, Samantha knew she had met someone who also prioritized supporting organizations dedicated to their mission and community. Through that relationship, S&S was introduced to Apparo. Since partnering with both to bring amazing service to the non-profit clients they serve.
Over the last few months, S&S has had the pleasure of helping many non-profits get their books set-up, organized, streamlined, and integrated with the various softwares they use. We offer to teach our clients best practices within their books, or maintain it for them. Showing them the necessary detail to not only maintain compliant tax wise, but see the potential growth within their organization. Additionally, we have assisted in setting up their budgets and understanding what is expected and necessary to account for. Oftentimes this is sitting right there with the executive officers, board members, or necessary individuals to create these items from nothing.
One organization in particular that has been exciting to see grow is Covered Chaplaincy (www.coveredchaplaincy.org), dedicated to serving those who serve, located in Bedford VA. S&S has been a part of this organization from the beginning. They have now grown to meeting the needs of their first responders in a way they never expected to happen within the first year. We provided the template for their budget, books, and assisted in setting up their CRM. Making the daily bookkeeping needs of this organization take mere minutes.
A larger organization that we have had the joy of working with is Sports Outreach Institute (www.sportsoutreach.com). They trusted Samantha to come in and train their internal team on Quickbooks Online best practices, understanding merchant reports, creating a standard operating procedure document, and more. That team has since said their bookkeeping practices have been much easier, straightforward, and manageable! They manage hundreds of transaction lines weekly. The ability to help make their lives easier, makes what we do worth it. Ensuring their donors will have the accurate information, and it’s easier than ever before..a blessing to the S&S team.
