Torrell Funderburk is a senior technology leader with experience in building and transforming modern information programs across numerous industries including manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, and IT consulting.
Torrell currently serves as the Executive Director of Cybersecurity Architecture at Sealed Air. His efforts are centered on aligning the security strategy with business goals and driving the organization toward a future that is secure, technologically adept, and resilient. He is responsible for cyber strategy, architecture, and delivery, and also chairs the Secure by Design initiative.
Before joining Sealed Air, Torrell spent most of his career building and scaling highly impactful programs. He has held several key leadership roles within the domains of software architecture, security architecture, and as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Torrell is an alumnus of the University of Maryland Global Campus and Presbyterian College, where he received his MS in Cybersecurity and BS in Computer Science, respectively, and has acquired a wide array of professional certifications.
Additionally, Torrell is a member of the Scotsman Club, an initiative dedicated to aiding student athletes and their activities at Presbyterian College. He and his wife, Meredith, along with their son, live in Charlotte, North Carolina.
