As the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Rodgers Builders, Inc. since 2013, Markus M. Hill is responsible for Information Technology strategy, functions, processes and people company-wide. This includes IT architecture, systems, networks, investments, information protection and assurance, and IT supplier relationships.
At Rodgers, Information Technology is a key partner in the marketing/sales, design, build, procurement, delivery and support of all Rodgers Builders projects and services.
During his tenure with Rodgers, Markus has successfully analyzed the organization's IT critical business requirements, identified deficiencies and potential opportunities, and developed innovative and cost-effective solutions for enhancing competitiveness – resulting in increased revenues and improved IT service offerings.
In addition to driving the strategic technology vision for the company, Markus leads teams to implement and facilitate “best practice” computer and information processes for all of Rodgers’ project sites, regional offices and corporate headquarters. He is also heavily involved in steering the direction of the company’s use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to best serve Rodgers’ clients.
Markus has more than 25 years of experience in technology, ranging from experience as a small business owner to ten years of experience working in a Fortune 500 company. He serves on multiple business and technology councils and advisory boards. His work has been featured in magazine and newspapers including Fortune, CIO, FastCompany, Microsoft Magazine, and Start. He holds a degree in Liberal Studies from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is currently a MBA candidate at Wake Forest University.
