Darrell Thompson is currently Chief Information Officer Sr. Vice President of Information Technology serving Coca-Cola Consolidated, Inc., the largest Coca-Cola bottler in the United States.  He has strategic and operational responsibility for development of the Company’s IT platforms and business solutions to support Consolidated’s franchise territory.  He and his team support 17,000 + teammates in 14 states and the District of Columbia.  Darrell moved into his current role in early 2015.

Darrell has been with Coca-Cola Consolidated for 30 years, with 22 years of experience in information technology with positions ranging from project management, application delivery / portfolio management, and development of their technology strategy.  He spent his first 8 years with the Company in Internal Audit and Finance.

Darrell, a Charlotte, NC native and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, enjoys spending time with his 2 dogs, creating yard art from repurposed materials and landscaping.
