Cam Faison is a native of Charlotte who joined Charlotte Pipe and Foundry’s information systems department in 1983. He has held many IS positions related to application systems development, technology services and ERP implementations. A unique career opportunity was created when Cam was asked by the business to lead the company’s customer service center in 1990. He later led the sales and distribution implementation for an ERP system in 1995, returning to information systems. Since becoming CIO in 1998, he has been responsible for the company’s information systems, technology, security and acquisition integration. He is a member of the company’s Corporate Management Team. Cam received his Bachelor of Science degree from Appalachian State University. Cam is married and has two adult children.

He is currently a member of the Appalachian State University CIS Advisory Board and a member of the CharlotteCIO Board. A past chair of the Apparo Board, CharlotteCIO Board and YMCA IT Advisory Committee. Prior member of the Apparo Board, JCSU - External Advisory Board for Electronic and Cyber Security, UNCC College of Computing and Informatics Advisory Board, CIO Forum and Executive IT Summit Executive Advisory Council, SIM Charlotte Region Chapter, CMS Technology Advisory Board, Charlotte Chamber’s iTC Leadership Committee and Mecklenburg County IST Advisory Committee.
