Duke Energy and Moran Technology Consulting volunteer team supports Urban League of Central Carolinas with a business process analysis to create program improvements
Sponsored by Duke Energy Foundation
Urban League of Central Carolinas’ (ULCC) mission is to empower the community to reach financial stability and social justice in a global economy through education, training, placement and entrepreneurship. ULCC works to advocate for and equip all underserved communities with the tools to achieve social and economic equality.
ULCC reached out to Apparo for assistance with documenting current processes across their organization, particularly those related to data collection, aggregation, and reporting. Apparo matched ULCC to a team of volunteers from Duke Energy and Moran Technology Consulting.
Volunteers will support ULCC in this Community Impact Project through first documenting the current state of business processes and identifying the roles of people, processes, and technologies. The team will document current processes, opportunities for increased efficiencies, and possible mitigation of risks. Based on the assessment, along with providing prioritized process and technology recommendations, volunteers will suggest a timeline and cost for implementing each recommendation. Through this business process analysis, ULCC hopes to improve operating efficiencies and ultimately amplify their mission to empower communities and save lives.
