As Chief Information Officer & Sr. Vice President of Information Technology for Coca-Cola Consolidated, Darrell Thompson is responsible for the strategic vision and operational responsibility for the Company’s enterprise IT platforms and business solutions to support Consolidated’s franchise territory. He and his team support 16,000 + teammates in 14 states and the District of Columbia. Darrell moved into his current role in early 2015 where he focused on supporting the rapid growth of the Company through its refranchising efforts with The Coca-Cola Company. His current focus is on ERP transformation, accelerating digital, data, and automation initiatives to meet customer’s evolving needs.

Darrell has been with Coca-Cola Consolidated for 32 years, with 24 years of experience in information technology with a variety of positions ranging from project management, application delivery / portfolio management, and development of their technology strategy. He spent his first 8 years with the Company in Internal Audit and Finance functions.

Darrell is a native Charlottean and a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. He has 2 adult sons, enjoys spending time with his Australian Terrier Baxter, and attends worship at Weddington Church. Darrell also serves as on the Executive Board of the Mecklenburg County Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
