Local Nonprofits powered by capacity-building technology solutions
CHARLOTTE, NC— [October 26, 2017] — Apparo, Charlotte’s only local nonprofit that partners corporate IT professionals with nonprofits in need of technology solutions, raised more than $35,000 at its 2nd annual Community Impact Breakfast held on October 20. The funds raised will help Apparo continue delivering technology solutions to empower Charlotte’s nonprofit community.
“Our technology projects help some of the area’s most vulnerable populations, and the financial support we received at this year’s breakfast will help make Charlotte a better community for so many,” Kim Lanphear, CEO of Apparo, said. “Technology helps nonprofits unleash their innovation and become more efficient.”
The Community Impact Breakfast unites local leaders, change-makers and philanthropists who are ready to make a difference and transform nonprofits using technology and collaboration.
“Nonprofits are in a unique position,” said Lanphear. “They are working tirelessly to solve social and economic issues, but many of their organizational models, budgets and staffing structures are struggling to keep up. That’s where we come in.”
Through Apparo’s work, Charlotte nonprofits are providing higher quality services, increasing their impact and doing more with less.
Since 2003, Apparo has served more than 400 nonprofits, delivering more than $7.4 million in technology solutions. Apparo is a multiplier in the community, using each dollar raised to generate $1.37 of value to nonprofits in the community.
The 2017 Community Impact Breakfast sponsors included: Accenture, DellEMC, Duke Energy, Jabian Consulting, North State Technology Solutions and Novant Health.
