The Technology Foundations for Nonprofits program wraps up with our 3rd cohort of organizations on an 8-week educational journey
Apparo recently celebrated wrapping up our third initiative to support United Way of Greater Charlotte (UWGC) nonprofits. These nonprofits are members of one of two UWGC initiatives:
- Unite Charlotte – providing not only funding but also capacity-building initiatives, to local grassroots organizations advancing racial equity and addressing economic mobility.
- United Neighborhoods – changing the odds in disinvested communities through resident empowerment and partnerships with lead partner agencies in each community.
Over the course of this 8-week technology empowerment program led by Apparo, participants:
- Grow their knowledge of the value and importance of prioritizing technology planning and implementation into nonprofit infrastructure and business processes
- Learn about basic technology infrastructure
- Develop insight into how business cloud platforms can support their mission
- Gain a basic understanding of digital marketing
- Establish a clear idea of best practices for donor cultivation and stewardship
- Understand the purpose and benefits of having a donor management system
- Know the available technology resources
They participated in 4 workshops:
- Technology Foundation Overview
- Business Cloud-Based Productivity Platforms
- Basics of Digital Marketing
- Donor Strategies and Management Systems
Participants are also matched with a skilled technology volunteer mentor for advice and guidance on any technology or business process-related questions, challenges, or needs.
