Kelly Buchanan serves as Divisional Chief Information Officer for Enterprise Payments & Wholesale Technology at Truist. In this role, she leads technology teams that power innovative solutions tailored to the complex needs of high-net-worth B2B Commercial and Institutional clients across Corporate & Investment Banking, Wealth Management, and Lending. Her Enterprise Payments teams are at the forefront of money movement at Truist, driving a unified payments strategy that enhances collaboration, operational efficiency, and modernization. Prior to joining Truist, Kelly spent two decades at Mastercard, where she held leadership roles across Technology and Mergers & Acquisitions in the United States, United Kingdom, and Asia Pacific.

Kelly holds a degree in Computer Information Systems from Missouri State University and an MBA from St. Louis University. She serves as the Executive Sponsor for Truist’s Women in Technology (WIT) business resource group, where she focuses on recognizing, developing, and attracting top talent while supporting community engagement. Kelly also extends her commitment to empowerment and leadership development through her role as Executive Vice Chair on the board of Girls on the Run Greater Charlotte.
