Create Social Good: Project Manager Volunteer Opportunities
Facilitate nonprofit technology and process improvement projects
Local project managers and consultants create social good as Apparo’s Change Agents, facilitators of our pro bono Community Impact Projects. Through these volunteer opportunities, we increase local nonprofits' effectiveness at serving the community by helping them with process improvement and to overcome technology challenges.
You'll set the weekly meeting schedule and be the translator, navigator and sounding board for the nonprofit and corporate volunteers. You'll help ensure the project stays on scope, moving towards a sustainable outcome for the nonprofit, and report updates to the Apparo team. This is primarily a virtual volunteer opportunity.

Community Impact Projects + Change Agent Role
Common project types include: Developing a technology plan, creating a business process assessment and recommendations, guiding software selection and implementing network infrastructure.
Apparo meets with a nonprofit to understand their technology and process improvement needs and fit for a CIP.
Apparo finds skilled volunteer(s) with the right expertise.
Apparo introduces the nonprofit to the Change Agent and volunteer(s) to confirm fit.
Volunteer(s) begin project work. Change Agent facilitates to ensure a sustainable solution. Typical timeframe: 12-16 weeks.
Project concludes, and Apparo follows up regularly to ensure solution is maintained.
