Seeking to bridge the digital divide for woman working towards economic independence, Dress for Success Charlotte worked with Apparo to source the right technology.
“Each year, a cohort of Dress for Success Charlotte clients participate in a 10-week financial literacy program to learn how to get started on the path to financial freedom. This year, the organization wanted to do more than provide education,” said Fontella McKyer, Director of Workforce Development. “We wanted to provide the women we serve with the technology tools they would need to ensure financial and career success.” The organization turned to Stephanie McKee and Apparo’s Tech Therapy program for support in selecting and purchasing the right technology from E2D.
“Stephanie is our go-to, a technology subject matter expert. We have cultivated a great working partnership. She facilitated the communication between us and E2D, securing the right laptops, warranties and software, so that the women in our program will have the tools they need while reducing any obstacles to their success. We are a small team of four; we could not have done this without partners like Apparo.”
