Allie joined Apparo as the Project Coordinator in June 2022. She is passionate about pursuing a career that makes a difference in her community and was thrilled to join the Apparo team after learning about their mission and seeing the impact of their work for other nonprofits.

Originally from New Hampshire, Allie found her way south to attend Coastal Carolina University where she received her BA in Political Science with a focus in the nonprofit sector. Following graduation in 2020, amid the start on the pandemic, she moved to Charlotte and served as an AmeriCorps member with the program Keep Charlotte Beautiful. She was responsible for managing numerous volunteer programs, city-wide cleanup events, and developing an environmental education curriculum for students. Prior to Apparo, she additionally spent time working for the Conservation Voters of South Carolina and Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region.

In her free time, you can find Allie walking her dog around Lake Norman, going camping in the Smoky Mountains, or exploring Charlotte's food scene and vintage shops.
