Bank of America supports BlazeSports America in identifying a sustainable solution for tracking and managing nonprofit data
Sponsored by Bank of America
BlazeSports America is the legacy of the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games. Their mission aims to change the lives of youth and veterans with disabilities through adaptive sports and recreation. BlazeSports serves youth, veterans, and active military with disabilities including spina bifida, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, dwarfism, amputations, and visual impairments, as well as veterans with PTSD and PTS. They offer programs that provide member participants the opportunity to increase physical activity, create new friendships, develop new skills, increase independence, and experience success in school and employment.
BlazeSports came to Apparo utilizing multiple stand-alone tools to track and manage data. A lack of integration among these tools has led to manual data-management processes and an increased risk of missing, duplicated, and obsolete data. The organization wants to improve processes for donor, member, and volunteer management, fundraising activities, and event registration and is seeking a software application to meet as many of these needs as possible. An attempt has been made to incorporate Neon One, but there is uncertainty around its suitability, it is not fully configured, and it has a limited amount of organizational data stored within.
Sponsored by Bank of America, Apparo paired BlazeSports with a team of dedicated skilled volunteers who will focus this Community Impact Project around determining whether or not Neon is a good match for organizational needs and if so, implement CRM that aligns with those needs. If Neon is not the best match, the team will work to identify another platform that is a better fit for the organization’s needs.
