Over the course of nine weeks, this virtual program will deliver the knowledge and tools nonprofits need to ensure their organization improves their security posture against risks to their data and infrastructure. Nonprofit participants will learn to better protect their data in keeping with cybersecurity best practices, helping to ensure their reputation and sustainability.
What to expect:
- Time commitment: 1 hour per week over nine weeks, 6/26/2025 through 8/21/2025 [BRENNA TO CONFIRM]
- Consistent Meeting Schedule: Same day and time each week [BRENNA – Once you know weekly day/time, we should add it here] , except for individualized meeting with Apparo Tech Therapy team (which will be scheduled for a mutually convenient time)
- Program content: Educational workshops, one-on-one mentorship and Apparo Tech Therapy support
This program is ideal for a nonprofit that:
- Demonstrates a genuine commitment to enhancing cybersecurity
- Is open to learning and adaptable to new processes and practices
- Strongly believes in the critical role of cybersecurity in protecting the organization’s mission and goals
- Has at least one dedicated staff member who, as the participant in this program:
- Possesses a thorough understanding of the organization’s current cybersecurity policies and procedures
- Is empowered to make and implement necessary organizational changes.
- Actively participates in program’s weekly 1-hour sessions
Please note the following eligibility requirements:
- Hold current 501(c)(3) nonprofit designation
- Employ at least one full-time paid staff member
- Have an annual operating budget of at least $50K
- Is not a chapter-based nonprofit, that has limited ability to implement new systems and/or updates
- Meet Apparo’s service guidelines
