Skilled volunteer and Apparo deliver email marketing, Google Ad Grant and Microsoft 365 support to Paula Takacs Foundation for Sarcoma Research.
When Susan Udelson of Paula Takacs Foundation for Sarcoma Research needed support with email marketing, she reached out to Apparo for Tech Therapy and was matched to Apparo volunteer Matt Mahood. She explains, “Matt helped us optimize our automated welcome letters. This saved me a lot of time and helped me overcome fear my fear of making a mistake with automation.”
Matt then continued to work with Susan, providing support to choose the best vendor to manage their Google Ad Grant account. Susan shares, “Matt is an expert in digital advertising and Google Ad Grants are very complicated. He participated in interviews and asked questions I would never have thought to ask. If you have to make a decision about something in which you are not an expert, find someone who is so that you can make the best decision. That’s what Apparo helped us do and we are very happy with the decision we made.”
She explains that today because of success with Google Ad Grants, 87% of their website visitors are new and they are up to about 19,000 visitors a month, even in months when they normally had virtually no traffic. This drives increased fundraising, but also spreads increased awareness of the critical support services available for those facing sarcoma.
When she needed help to transition to Microsoft 365, she also reached out to Apparo and was supported directly by Apparo’s Stephanie McKee. Susan shares, “I could not have successfully completed the transition to Microsoft 365 without Apparo’s invaluable help.”
In closing, Susan adds, “I truly appreciate everything that Apparo has done for our foundation, it’s been transformational.”
