Lutzie 43 Foundation is seeking a skilled volunteer team to assess their overall business processes for their programming.
Lutzie 43 Foundation has a multi-year partnership with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to provide Safe Driving Summits. Currently they serve approximately 200+ students through this program. The Safe Driving Summits will take place across the state of Georgia and gather students from local high schools to hear from subject-matter experts about safe driving. Students will attend breakout sessions led by leaders such as law enforcement agencies, healthcare companies, trucking organizations and more to provide students with tips and tools to prioritize safety behind the wheel. The Lutzie 43 Foundation’s 43 Key Seconds initiative and the Georgia Department of Transportation Drive Alert, Arrive Alive campaign will educate students during the Safe Driving Summit and help them make better decisions behind the wheel.
The Lutzie team needs help with identifying ways to improve business processes and document these into their existing playbook. As part of this project, they also need recommendations on improving communications to recruit schools and more participants, best practices for pre/post survey response, waivers, permissions slips, etc and how to best collect data from surveys and event participates to create metrics to effectively share with GDOT. The initiative is to replicate these summits in other cities and states.
Key Project Steps:
- Skilled volunteer team will confirm process(s) to be evaluated
- Skilled volunteer team will work with nonprofit to document the high-level process(s) from beginning to end (may include a business process flow diagram)
- Skilled volunteer team will gather information from nonprofit on the IT systems/tools used and technology landscape (org-wide and for the specific process(s))
- Skilled volunteer will interview key nonprofit personnel and assess communication and workflow
- Skilled volunteer team will report findings, provide recommendations and document next steps for process optimization
Lutzie 43 Foundation is based in Atlanta, GA but all volunteer work can be done virtually.
