Skilled volunteer team assesses business processes at Lutzie 43 Foundation to enhance nonprofit programming
Sponsored by Mauser Packaging Solutions
Lutzie 43 Foundation has a multi-year partnership with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to provide Safe Driving Summits. Currently, approximately 200+ students are served through this program. The summits take place across the state, gathering students from local high schools to hear from experts about safe driving. Students attend breakout sessions led by leaders such as law enforcement agencies, healthcare companies, trucking organizations, and more to provide students with tips and tools to prioritize safety behind the wheel. The Lutzie 43 Foundation‘s 43 Key Seconds initiative and the GDOT’s Drive Alert, Arrive Alive campaign will educate students during the Safe Driving Summit and help them make better decisions behind the wheel.
Lutzie 43 Foundation is based in Atlanta, GA but all volunteer work can be done virtually.
The Lutzie team reached out to Apparo for assistance in identifying opportunities to improve business processes and documenting these into their existing playbook. As part of this project, they would also like recommendations on improving communications to recruit schools and more participants, best practices for pre- and post-survey responses, waivers, permissions slips, how to best collect data from surveys and event participants to create metrics to effectively share with GDOT, and more. The initiative is to replicate these summits in other cities and states.
Apparo matched the nonprofit with a skilled volunteer team including those from CapTech Consulting, Bank of America, and Mauser Packaging Solutions. This team will work with the organization to document current processes related to their Safe Driving Summit. Through this Community Impact Project, volunteers will review current processes and technology tools utilized to identify opportunities for increased efficiencies organization-wide. Additionally, the volunteers will conduct interviews with key nonprofit personnel to assess staff communication and workflows. Based on the findings of the assessment and interviews, the team will report findings and provide recommendations to optimize processes.
