Apparo’s Technology Foundations for Nonprofits program supports 5th cohort of organizations on a 10-week journey to build on the technology skills they learned last year.
Apparo’s fifth initiative supporting United Way of Greater Charlotte (UWGC) nonprofits is now underway. These nonprofits are members of one of two UWGC initiatives:
- Unite Charlotte – providing funding and capacity-building initiatives to local grassroots organizations advancing racial equity and addressing economic mobility.
- United Neighborhoods – changing the odds in disinvested communities through resident empowerment and partnerships with lead partner agencies in each community.
Through Technology Foundations 201, nonprofits will meet and be provided the following components:
- 1 orientation session
- 4 Educational Workshops:
- Tech Essentials 201
- Cybersecurity Best Practices 201
- Digital Marketing with an Optional Peer Connect Meeting following the Workshop
- AI (Artificial Intelligence) Overview
- 4 1-on-1 meetings with their mentors
- 1 wrap-up session
The objective of this program is for the participating nonprofits to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed decisions about their digital strategies and the technology tools available to support their specific missions.
